Tjörn is located in Bohuslän and is Sweden’s seventh largest island with an area of 147m2 and a circumference of 190 km. It is located about 60 km north of Gothenburg and about 60 km south of Uddevalla. During the summer months, the population increases from 15,000 to almost 45,000 thanks to tourism. It is an island with many cycle paths in a fantastic nature surrounded by cliffs, meadows and sea.
The capital of Tjörn is Skärhamn, which has about 3700 inhabitants. Here you can visit, among other things, the Nordic Watercolour Museum.
